All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) can be a lot of fun, but can be dangerous if used improprerly. With fall weather, many people enjoying an afternoon in the woods on their ATVs. Always remember that ATVs are designed only for off road use. While it can be tempting to ride on public roads, even for just a few miles, it's not worth the risk Between 2007 and 2011, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) reported that approximately 1,700 ATV riders died in crashes on public roads in the United States.
